About this place
Shri Bhashyakara Gudi, also known as the Ramanuja temple, stands in Vitthalapura to the northeast of the great Vittala Temple complex. It is a south-facing shrine within its own walled enclosure, with a gopura opening onto a chariot street lined by colonnades. Together with the main Vittala complex, it made this quarter an important Vaishnava pilgrimage centre in the capital.
