About this place
Kuduregombe Mantapa stands midway along the paved chariot road between the Gejjala Mantapa and the Vittala Temple, facing the temple tank. Its name comes from the kudure (horse) sculptures on the front pillars, an unusual choice where many Hampi gateways use lions or elephants. The open hall likely served royal processions linked to the chariot and boat festivals in the adjoining tank.
